Welcome to La Maison Bleue, our family-run Golden Retriever breeding program located in the beautiful Outaouais region of Quebec. Our adventure began in 2019 when our family moved into this charming house that would quickly earn the nickname La Maison Bleue. It was here that our passion for the Golden Retriever was born—a breed known for its gentleness, intelligence, and deep devotion to its family.
Our first companions were Nala, a loving and playful red Golden Retriever, and Dolce, a magnificent male English Cream Golden Retriever who is patient, loyal, and incredibly gentle. Very quickly, they became full members of our family.
At Christmas 2023, Nala and Dolce gave us their final litter. Among the puppies, we chose to keep Riley, the male with the dark blue collar. Loyal, curious, and playful, he has become a caring big brother and now plays an important role in the socialization of the new puppies.
In 2024, Maple joined our family. An excellent retriever and full of energy, she has a temperament that is both enthusiastic and well balanced. In 2026, she will gently take over from Nala as she becomes a mother in turn.
Our canine family later grew with the arrival of Athena, a blonde Golden with a calm and soothing temperament, as well as Apollo, a young Golden who is sensitive and observant. More recently, Dali, a female Golden Retriever from field lines, has enriched our breeding program with her intelligence, liveliness, and remarkable instinct.
Our dogs grow up at the heart of our daily lives, surrounded by our children. They also live in a lively environment where they interact with about ten chickens, two cats, and two miniature horses, contributing to rich and natural socialization. At La Maison Bleue, our goal is to raise healthy Golden Retrievers that are well socialized and have a gentle, balanced temperament—ready to bring happiness and companionship to their future families.

The Pack
Dolce is by far the happiest dog we know! If you're looking for him, he's probably right next to Nala. They are inseparable! Dolce is a gentle, patient, affectionate, curious, and loyal male. He often comes back to us covered in mud, the rascal! He loves playing in the water. The kids love playing with him. He is Nala's best student. He will welcome you home with a big smile.
Maple is the ultimate Golden Retriever! She is a playful, energetic and protective dog. She is always up for an adventure, especially if she is accompanied by her best friend, Riley. Maple loves to play "fetch" with balls, frisbies, sticks... in short, anything she can bring back! She loves children and declares herself their bodyguard.
Athena is a magnificent golden blond dog with a gentle, tender gaze. Affectionate and loyal, she loves being close to the ones she loves, always ready for a cuddle or a moment of sweetness. Calm, kind and full of sensitivity, Athena brings a comforting and warm presence wherever she goes. She is a dog with a heart of gold, just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Apollo never goes unnoticed: wherever he goes, he attracts attention with his presence and energy. Curious and enthusiastic, he brings a lot of life and excitement wherever he is. With his qualities and temperament, Apollo also promises to become a remarkable sire for La Maison Bleue.
Dali is a young female field-line Golden Retriever who stands out for her attentive gaze and great sensitivity. Observant, she shows a strong ability to focus and a genuine eagerness to learn. Athletic and lively, she has the intelligence, instinct, and motivation typical of working Goldens, while still maintaining a gentle and well-balanced temperament.
Our Retired Dogs
At La Maison Bleue, our dogs are first and foremost members of our family. When they retire from breeding, they continue to live with us or with new families and fully enjoy a peaceful life surrounded by love and care. These dogs have helped build the foundation of our breeding program and will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

When Nala arrived at our home, we were overjoyed. It is an honor for us to have such an intelligent, wise, and respectful dog. She is affectionate and always ready for a walk in the forest. She loves children and they adore her! She also enjoys playing in her pool. Her favorite game is fetch, a classic! She is always on the lookout for squirrels and loves to chase them
Cleo is a dog close to humans who can't have too much attention! She loves children and children love her. Cleo is calm, patient, maternal and oh so loyal. She loves to swim and is always up for an adventure... as long as you go with her!
Riley is a curious, playful and loyal dog! He is the son of Nala and Dolce (dark blue collar from the 2023 Christmas litter) and has inherited the best qualities of both his parents: Nala's energy and courage as well as Dolce's loyalty and sweetness. He is always the first one ready to go for a walk in the mountains! His best friend is Maple, they are inseparable!
